Coming up this month we have the Earthship Pitaya Fest 18th/19th Feb and the eagerly awaited completion of the brand new Skatepark being built here in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.

San Juan del Sur is a very special town on the west coast of Nicaragua! This is the ultimate directory for visitors & locals alike. You'll find everything you need from a huge selection of accommodation, upcoming events, places to eat out & party, to other fun activities, volunteering you can do while you're here, and of course surfing.

San Juan del Sur started off life as a quaint little fishing village on the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua, and it's this history that makes it such an interesting town.

Although the town is developing, it is evolving around the historical and brightly painted original wooden houses making sure that the place maintains it's charm! It has a population of approximately 18,000 and is always bustling with locals and international visitors.

Surfing is fast becoming Nicaragua's main sport, with many tourists now making Nicaragua their holiday destination for the perfect mix of solitude, culture, activity and fiesta. We have all sorts of different waves for all levels of surfers, so it doesn't matter if your looking to learn to surf or if you're a pro, there's a wave here to challenge you….some of them are on the map, others are still undiscovered, waiting for you.

There are plenty of Spanish schools in town making San Juan a perfect place to come and immerse yourself in the language and take home something more than a tan and a few souvenirs!Alternatively you can come here to relax, unwind, and do absolutely nothing!
